Neurological Integration System (NIS)

Neurological Integration System is a science-based technique that uses the central nervous system to return the body back to the best possible human function. It is non-invasive and addresses both physiological and neurological systems within the body. NIS is based on the principals of neuroscience to reconnect circuits within the body, extending beyond the scope of mainstream medicine.

Informed

Uncover the root of your challenges, feel heard, and have a practitioner decode your body’s signals

Supported

With a clear plan & support to implement it, you’ll not have to go it alone when it comes to your family’s health.

Revitalised

Concentrate on embracing life, not just coping with symptoms and get your life back on track.

NIS has the capability of addressing many symptoms and health disorders including cognitive processing and learning disabilities, organ and gland function, viral and bacterial infections, hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, connective tissue and joint pain, and low energy levels.

Why NIS?

10 years ago I first discovered NIS when living in NZ after experiencing a variety of unexplained (and very inconvenient!) health issues from itchy night rashes, painful periods, low energy and erratic moods and emotions. I was recommended NIS as a treatment and decided to give it a go. All of these symptoms I was experiencing were corrected, plus more. I can wholeheartedly say it is the one single most impactful decision of my life for both myself and my children.

Things that we thought were just “the norm” with the boys (lack of coordination, chronic and severe head aches, poor memory and concentration, extremely sensitive and reactive to name just a few!) disappeared after the first session. We continued to see the practitioner every few months for a “tune up” and over the years I really began to see the impact NIS had on the overall health and wellbeing of my life, my family and anyone I recommended a session.

To train in NIS you require a medical science degree as a pre-requisite, so in 2017 I left my corporate role in NZ, moved to Australia and began my studies at University of Sunshine Coast. In 2021 I began my training with NIS and have completed my Foundational NIS training.

I am beyond excited to be offering NIS here on the Sunshine Coast and view the healing journeys of clients from a practitioner perspective. I wholehearted believe in the effectivity of this modality, as do each and every client who walks out of each session.

What clients say about NIS

  • Karen - no more pain - or physio and osteo appointments!

I've been working with Kate and NIS for about 2 months now and WOW! I've noticed better focus, less pain and an improvement in my overall well being. The most noticeable shift however has been me being able to cancel my weekly Osteo and Physio visits

  • Zeeta - her family's health transformed

If you’re considering NIS, I highly encourage you to make an appointment with Kate! This non-invasive approach has truly transformed both my daughter’s and my health and wellbeing. The improvements we’ve seen, after just a few sessions, have been remarkable. Kate is incredibly supportive and knowledgeable, making the whole process comfortable and effective.

  • Daniel - his wife made him come!

Absolutely give it a go. I will be the first to say that I was a little sceptical, but the more time I spend with Kate the more intune I am with what my body is telling me and what it needs to work at 100%.

  • Kylie - PND & anxiety a thing of the past

Prior to seeing Kate I suffered from PND, mild anxiety and brain fog. After only two sessions my PND was completely gone, anxiety was very minimal and I was accomplishing so many things Ive been wanting to do for literally years! I highly recommend Kate for any bodily issues you have - mental or physical!

 FAQs

  • At each visit the goal is to determine and address what aspects of your body function the brain is not fully controlling. The approach is very non-invasive, stress and pain-free. This makes an NIS treatment suitable for the newborn baby through to the very aged, and those that are very sick or injured.

NIS involves a prioritised set of treatment protocols that evaluate the neurological circuitry and the facets of body function they represent. This system, in simple terms could be thought of like a list of ‘checks’ similar to one a mechanic would use when you put your car in for a service. These protocols evaluate all the causes that may have translated themselves to symptoms.

NIS is unique. The practitioner is a facilitator in the feeding of data to and from the brain. To find out which areas of body function the brain is not fully controlling, a muscle test is used. A muscle test is a proven and established method of determining whether the brain is in full ‘communication’ with body function. The muscle-test acts as a feedback indicator to determine any circuit that has broken down.

  • The spectrum of complaints that can be treated with NIS is very vast. Using NIS your practitioner is looking to identify the ‘underlying reason’ behind your symptom. The underlying reason could be physiological, pathological, chemical or emotional. Remember...because NIS is assessing and addressing the optimum function of all body systems, there are few things that will be excluded.

Although every treatment and physiological response differs with each patient, the following is a broad guideline only of the types of complaints that can be treated using NIS:

    • Structural (joint, tendon, ligament, muscle & spinal pain/restriction. Nerve entrapment)

    • Learning & behavioural difficulties in adults & children (ADD/ADHD/Dyslexia, memory recall, concentration, co-ordination, reading, speech, frustration/self-esteem)

    • Pathological & all issues relating to the immune system. (Viral/bacterial)

    • Hormonal (both male and female)

    • Mental & emotional disorders (depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, bi-polar disorder)

    • Digestive System resulting in sinus & mucous issues

    • Migraine

    • Eyes

    • Allergies (both food and chemical toxicity, hayfever)

    • Auto-immune

    • Insomnia & poor sleeping patterns

    • Heart and Cholesterol (blood pressure, venous & arterial supply)

    • Chronic Fatigue/ Fybromyalgia

    • Poor organ function (bowel, liver, bladder, etc.)

    • Stress-related illnesses

    • Respiratory (asthma)

    • Emotional impact on any aspect of physiology

  • Absolutely everyone! NIS is non-invasive and pain-free making it suitable for all ages. From babies and young children to the very well aged. Children respond very well to the treatment because they are not trying to analyse what is happening in the session allowing their body to respond a lot quicker.

  • The human body is born with maximum tolerances. These differ from person to person. One principle of neurophysiology is - the brain operates within a set of parameters, dictated by the unique DNA of each of us. When all body systems function within our individual ‘template’ of parameters we have great health.

From time to time stresses cause our individual tolerances to be exceeded. They can be physical, pathological, chemical, mental or emotional. This is when the body will start to show symptoms of pain and/or illness. An exceeded threshold may be thought of as a broken circuit. The brain is no longer in full ‘communication’ with certain facets of function.

  • I recommend initially 4 x treatments approximately 10 days apart to return your body to its ‘best’ state of normal, or as close to. After these sessions maintenance sessions are recommended every 2-3 months, although once you are used to this new version of ‘normal’, patients notice quite quickly when they have slipped, or reached their tolerance in an area which has effected their wellbeing.

Why the four sessions? Your NIS practitioner is looking to identify the ‘underlying’ reason for your complaint. This may take a few treatments to uncover, as the brain may identify other areas of dysfunction that need addressing first – before revealing the deeper causal issues. This doesn’t mean that nothing happened following your treatment. Quite the opposite. The brain is taking steps to immediately to start the process of returning the areas of dysfunction that have been treated, back to ‘normal’ However there is a myriad of intricate physiological processes that must take place, some of which take time.

  • It can take 2-3 days for your body to recalibrate after the treatment. The symptoms during this time is all dependent on the nature of your complaint. In some cases you may feel tired in waves. If you are treated for an infection you may expect some fatigue for a few days as the body eliminates the infection from the system.

I hold an associate degree in health science which I completed for the purpose of becoming an NIS practitioner.
